In the coming days, the forecast indicates an increase in rainfall and intensification of areas of instability in much of the Center-South of Brazil.
This week, the South Atlantic Convergence Zone (ZCAS) will change shape as a cold front approaches and a new humidity channel establishes itself in the South of Brazil.
For Monday, the accumulated rainfall forecast maps show persistent rainfall over the Southeast and intensification of rainfall in the states of Paraná and Santa Catarina.

South Region
The trough continues to act in the state of Paraná and low pressure on the coast of Rio Grande do Sul, maintaining instability in most of the South Region of Brazil.
There is a forecast for heavy rain and a risk of isolated storms in the north of RS, west of SC and center-west of PR.
In Porto Alegre, the rain should be isolated and temporary, while in Florianópolis and Curitiba, it may fall in several periods.
These instabilities are associated with the presence of a meteorological trough, wind circulation, the presence of low pressure in Argentina and the flow of humidity coming from the Amazon.
Southeast Region
On Monday, the storms will spread to more areas of the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais, including the capitals of São Paulo and Minas Gerais, as well as the south-central part of Rio de Janeiro.
On Tuesday, the weather will remain the same, with the exception of some areas of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo.
Central-West Region
On Monday, the north of Mato Grosso and the east of Goiás may receive heavy rain showers, with lightning and gusts of wind.
It will rain at various times of the day in the west and northwest of Mato Grosso, as well as in Cuiabá. In Campo Grande, the showers should be isolated.
On Tuesday, the region will continue to be predominantly unstable in all states.
Northeast Region
Sunshine with light and passing rain from the south of Bahia to the coast of Rio Grande do Norte.
It could rain at any time in Fortaleza and São Luís. Heavy rain in the south of Maranhão.
At the beginning of the week, the weather will be stable only in the east of Piauí and in the interior of Pernambuco.
Northern Region
Risk of storms in the north-central part of Amapá, south-central and eastern strip of Amazonas.
In these areas of the Amazonas state, rain could occur at various times of the day, as well as in the south of Pará and Tocantins.
On Tuesday, the weather will clear only in Rondônia.
