The correct disposal of waste generated by pig farming is extremely important to protect the environment. Therefore, the management of these effluents must be carried out in a conscious and responsible manner. A sustainable alternative for treating waste is the use of biodigesters. The effluents can be used to produce biogas, biofertilizer or biofuel. Ligados & Integrados spoke with Ricardo Steinmetz, an analyst at Embrapa Swine and Poultry, who explains more about the use of biodigesters in pig farming.
