Sales of agricultural machinery, including tractors and harvesters, rose 19.4% last year, totaling 67.4 thousand units from January to December.
The figures were released this Thursday (2) by Fenabrave, an association that, in addition to car dealerships, represents resellers of used equipment in the field.
In December alone, just over 6 thousand machines were delivered to rural producers, an increase of 17% over November and 5.6% above the volume recorded in the same month of the previous year.
Unlike car sales, which can be updated daily based on daily vehicle licensing, the figures for agricultural machinery need to be collected by Fenabrave from manufacturers.
For this reason, the statistics are one month out of date in relation to the car sales figures, the results of which released today by the association are already for January.
“Over 67,000 units were sold this year, showing that entrepreneurs are continuing to modernize their fleet of equipment and bring Brazilian agribusiness into line with the most advanced technologies for use in the field,” said Fenabrave president José Maurício Andreta Júnior, commenting on the performance.
